Qualitair Corsica

Qualitair Corse's main missions are :

• Monitor air quality throughout Corsica, using fixed or mobile stations to continuously measure regulatory pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, ozone, sulfur dioxide and suspended particulates. This monitoring also involves measurement campaigns using passive tubes. This method provides an average over a defined period and zone.
• Make use of the data obtained by the measuring equipment. This can be used to make short-term forecasts to try and anticipate pollution peaks, but also to assess long-term air quality.
• Advisor. The association can help decision-makers assess the impact of their planning and development projects on air quality.
• Inform the authorities and the general public. The association has a duty to communicate the results of its measurements and studies. Qualitair Corse also uses educational tools to raise awareness of air pollution issues among young people. In the event of the information threshold being exceeded (first threshold), the organization must warn the authorities as well as the general public, using the local media at its disposal.
