The Association Asthme & Allergies, founded in 1991, is a non-profit association governed by the French law of 1901, whose main objectives are to inform and support people with asthma or allergies, parents of asthmatic children, as well as doctors and healthcare professionals.

The media and means used to deliver information are varied: themed brochures, organization of regular chats during which the association's doctors and psychologists answer web users' questions, the "Asthme & Allergies Infos" newsletter, websites, the toll-free number 0800 19 20 21 (free call from a landline), support for patient associations, organization in France of World Asthma Day and French Allergy Day.
The Association Asthme & Allergies created the Ecoles de l'Asthme and contributed to the recognition of therapeutic education in France. It also took part in setting up the Individualized Welcome Project (PAI) to ensure that asthmatic and allergic children are better received in schools.
The Asthme & Allergies Infos newsletter is published monthly for asthma sufferers and their families. Its contents are based on a main feature, new in every issue: information on the disease, treatments, prevention, advances in research, as well as a wealth of practical advice.
