Bio-Tox
Bio-Tox is a consulting firm specializing in environmental monitoring and the impact of industrial facilities, air quality and health and environmental risk assessment. We offer advice, expertise and recommendations to industry and local authorities.
For more than twenty years, our team has been mainly involved in monitoring the impact of installations on the environment.
This experience enables us to cover the entire process, from the development of monitoring plans to their implementation: design, field implementation, interpretation and communication of the results obtained.
We also make recommendations and suggest areas for improvement adapted to each situation.
Our experts can support you and carry out or propose studies such as :
- Drawing up your Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP)
- Interpretation of the state of the environment (IEM)
- Health risk assessment (HRA)
- Characterization of populations and uses and conceptual diagram (DDAE file)
- Third-party expertise
Our environmental monitoring services can cover a wide range of environments:
- air: Owen gauges, biomonitoring (lichen, ryegrass, bryophytes, etc.), passive tubes, active sampling
- soils: chemical analyses, ecotoxicological tests...
- sediments: chemical analyses, ecotoxicological tests, etc.
The chemical analysis and/or ecotoxicological testing approach ensures accurate and reliable assessment of the environments monitored.
Our services also include support and advice in explaining and presenting our results. Whether at public meetings, Site Monitoring Commissions or restricted committees (in the case of confidential dossiers), we support companies and local authorities in communicating the results of environmental monitoring programs.
We also take part in information and awareness-raising meetings on a variety of topics (see below for some examples):
- What is environmental monitoring applied to waste treatment facilities?
- Biomonitoring: a powerful tool for assessing environmental impact
- PFAS explained - how to take them into account in environmental monitoring?
- Communication meetings for the general public
- Meetings on specific topics on request
Our head office is based in Saint Quentin Fallavier, Isère. We operate throughout France and in neighbouring countries.
We have several branches in France (Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Ile-de-France, Pays-de-la-Loire, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Grand Est), enabling us to operate nationwide with reduced environmental impact, good responsiveness and greater competitiveness.
We have all the material and human resources needed to draw up Environmental Monitoring Programs and implement a wide range of sampling and environmental impact assessment techniques:
- Sampling of water, sediment, soil, lichens, pine needles, bryophytes, ryegrass.
- Atmospheric fallout (OWEN gauges - NF X 43-014 standard) (several vials on "all-in-one" tripods suitable for measuring metals, dioxins and furans and PCB DL, PAH, PFAS)
- Exposure and analysis in ryegrass (NF X 43-901) or cabbage (VDI 3957/3)
- Ambient air
- Active sampling: Partisol
- Passive sampling: Radiello tubes
- Installation of meteorological stations essential for interpreting analysis results, particularly atmospheric deposition.
- Development of reference values for data interpretation (in particular in accordance with standard XP X43-910 for biomonitoring)
- Atmospheric deposition modeling
