On July 9 and 10, 2026, the CNRS is organizing a multi-disciplinary symposium entitled “Santé-environnement : comprendre, prévenir, agir” (Health and environment: understanding, preventing, acting) at its national headquarters in Paris (16th arrondissement). The event brings together researchers from the life sciences, environmental sciences, human and social sciences, and physics, to discuss the links between environmental exposure and health trajectories throughout life.
The program is structured around four scientific themes: the identification and quantification of environmental exposures (including air pollution, chemical, biological and physical contaminants); the biological and cellular mechanisms involved; the modeling and anticipation of health risks; and prevention and protection strategies. Sessions will focus in particular on the effects of air quality on respiratory health, exposomes and co-exposures.
The final program and registration details will be communicated shortly via the CNRS institutes.
