CARYOPHYLLENE
Caryophyllène is an independent company specializing in olfactory sensory analysis and professional training in the Langage des Nez®, a repository for the description and study of odors.
Founded by Hélène Metsu, an industrial nose from the petrochemical sector, Caryophyllène provides environmental and industrial players with recognized expertise in olfactory sensory analysis, based on methodological rigor and field experience.
We support industry, design offices and local authorities in understanding, characterizing and managing odor phenomena.
Our services are based on :

professional training to integrate the sensory dimension into monitoring and consultation processes.
In this way, we contribute to an integrated approach to air quality and environmental dialogue.
Based in Rouen (Normandy), Caryophyllène operates throughout France, with particular experience in industrial contexts.
We can also carry out one-off assignments on a European scale, in support of partner consultancies or local authorities.
Our main instruments are our noses.
Trained in the Langage des Nez®, they are trained weekly and calibrated to ensure the reliability and reproducibility of observations in the field.
Depending on the needs of the study, we can also take air samples for physico-chemical laboratory analysis, to complete the sensory approach.
