Center for Research and Teaching in Environment and Risks (CREER)
The Centre de Recherche et d’Enseignement en Environnement et en Risques is one of the 3 research and teaching centers of IMT Mines Alès. It specializes in the environment: water, air and risks. In this field, it provides the link between training, research and economic development activities.
Missions :
- Advance science and its applications, always in fields that meet the needs of business and society.
- Train the school's students to the highest level, thanks to the high level of expertise of its teaching staff
- Promote the transfer of this expertise to business and society.
The PAQMan Platform provides a global response to the problem of air quality management, using a transdisciplinary approach that combines scientific and industrial skills.
The platform proposes and supports innovative research and development projects in the fields of metrology, treatment and assessment of nuisances and associated risks. It also helps accelerate the time-to-market for innovative products.
- Thermodesorber/gas chromatography/mass spectrometry/sniffer combination (TD-GC-MS-O) for high-performance characterization of VOCs in various gaseous matrices, and
- Proton resonance mass spectrometer (PTR-TOF-MS) for real-time measurement and monitoring of VOCs in indoor and outdoor air.
The platform is located at CREER. The CREER has over 2,500m2 of laboratory space and pilot test halls (400m²). The close proximity of CREER's facilities to the IMT Mines-Alès premises means that, in addition to the platform's instruments, we have access to equipment from the Laboratoire des Sciences des Risques (FID / PDD / NPD / FPD chromatographs, analyzers, multi-station olfactometer).
