The Reactions and Process Engineering Laboratory develops the scientific and technological knowledge required for the design, study, operation and optimization of complex physical-chemical and biological processes for the transformation of matter and energy.

Within the PErSeVAL axis (Processes for the Environment, Safety and Resource Valorization), 3 themes are combined to meet these scientific challenges:

• Safety Aerosols Filtration Explosion
• Soil and Water
• Multiphase systems

Work carried out :

• Development of innovative processes for treating effluents (gas, aerosols, liquids) and pollution (soil)
• Development of intrinsically cleaner and safer processes, in particular through multi-scale approaches
• Sustainable resource management, by developing secondary resources that are little or not exploited (hydrometallurgy, methanization, waste recovery, etc.).
• Design and optimization of processes enabling the use and production of renewable energies (electrochemical processes for energy conversion, etc.).
• Development of environmental process analysis tools for impact and risk assessment
