Murmuration carries out environmental impact studies using satellite data. A catalog of some twenty environmental indicators, including a series on air quality, has been developed.
These include an indicator for monitoring the concentration of pollutants in the atmosphere (NO2, SO2, PM2.5, PM10, O3). This air quality indicator is based on World Health Organization (WHO) standards. All pollutant concentration values are compared with WHO thresholds, above which quantities are considered harmful.
This indicator has a resolution of 10km and is updated every hour. It is extremely useful for global monitoring of air quality in cities.
