FIMEA's next theme day (fimeale) will take place on September 14, 2021 on the theme of "PNSE 4: a driving force for indoor air quality".
PNSE4, entitled "mon Environnement, ma Santé" (my environment, my health), aims to enable each and every one of our fellow citizens to play an active role in their own environment and health, i.e. to gain a better understanding and knowledge of the risks to which they are exposed, so that they can act more effectively on a daily basis, through concrete and immediate action, to reduce their exposure.
Based on a "One Health" approach, its aim is to prevent and promote environmental health as close as possible to local areas, in order to combat territorial inequalities in health.
Air quality is one of the many environmental factors that remain a challenge. Outdoor air pollution is responsible for an estimated 48,000 to 67,000 premature deaths in France every year, while indoor air pollution requires the control of numerous emission sources and pollutants.
The aim of the day is to take stock of exposures, health impacts and their mechanisms, and to give the floor to a wide range of institutional and associative players, on ways of informing the population, the right thing to do, and the development of concrete actions carried out in local areas.
