On Wednesday, March 23, from 11am to 12:30pm, NOVABUILD and Air Pays de la Loire will be hosting a series of presentations and discussions on the issue of taking health aspects into account in urban planning decisions. This issue is both central to everyone's interests and cross-cutting, as it affects all aspects of a planning project.
Spatial planning, and in particular the quality of the urban environment in which people live, influences their health and well-being. At a time when three-quarters of the French population live in urbanized areas, planning choices are important levers for preventing and promoting health. Taking account of chronic disease issues will play an increasingly important role in urban planning in the years to come.
