While air pollution has an impact on everyone's health, young children are particularly vulnerable.
The indoor environment of schools is the source of a great deal of pollution, particularly through the use of cleaning products, manual activities, building materials, etc. Pollution can also come from the outside air. The school is not in a "bubble"; it is part of a neighborhood, which may itself be more or less affected by outdoor air pollution or urban heat island phenomena.
This symposium for local authorities, organized by theAssociation pour la Prévention de la Pollution Atmosphérique (APPA) with the support of Ademe, ARS Hauts-de-France and the Hauts-de-France Region, will provide an opportunity for discussion and debate based on the experiences of various players, with the aim of taking action to improve air quality and protect the health of young children.
