TheAlliance des collectivités pour la qualité de l'air, in partnership with Atmo France, is organizing a joint webinar to discuss air quality in regulatory planning documents used by local authorities on Tuesday, September 20 from 2 to 3:30 pm.
Air quality must be integrated into all areas of public action, not just restricted to mobility. Today, air quality takes second place to climate and energy in planning documents, but it is essential to take appropriate action everywhere.
The aim of this webinar is to provide answers to the questions that local players are asking themselves, in order to take better account of air quality. Drawing on feedback from the PLAN'AIR project, dedicated to territorial climate-air-energy plans (PCAET ), and the Alliance des collectivités booklet dedicated to urban planning and construction, participants will be able to review the obstacles identified through concrete case studies, and learn about best practices and recommendations from Atmo France and the Alliance.
The PLAN'AIR project, spearheaded by Atmo France and the AASQA (Associations agréées de surveillance de la qualité de l'air), with support from ADEME, has made it possible to assess and improve the way in which air quality issues are taken into account in PCAETs. The Alliance's " Livret urbanisme et air" (urban planning and air ) provides guidance on how to take air into account, from planning documents right through to the architectural form of buildings, including the need to educate those involved in urban planning about air quality.
