Bordeaux Métropole must set up a Low Emission Zone (ZFE) by January 1, 2025 at the latest, in application of the "Climate and Resilience" law. This obligation, directly linked to the desire to improve air quality in the metropolitan area, goes hand in hand with a wide-ranging consultation process. Everyone is invited to express their views on the deployment methods and accompanying measures that will enable the EPZ to be implemented as equitably, efficiently and sustainably as possible.
After a targeted consultation phase between April and October, it's now time for the general public to get involved. The aim is to work together on the implementation of an EPZ.
Mobile stands will be set up in around twenty areas to carry out field surveys, providing information and collecting contributions via questionnaires. Public meetings, organized in partnership with local authorities, will also be held to present the project and discuss the conditions for deploying the EPZ. Consultation of the general public will continue until the first half of 2023.
