Anses is the French national agency for food, environmental and occupational health and safety.
A public administrative body, it is supervised by the Ministries of Health, the Environment, Agriculture, Labor and Consumer Affairs.
What we do:
Anses provides the scientific benchmarks needed to protect our health against risks linked to food, the environment and work, or which affect the health of animals and plants.
As a scientific expertise agency, it monitors and assesses these health risks, to which it also devotes research activities.
It contributes to the advancement of scientific knowledge in support of public decision-makers, including in the event of health crises.
