Atmo Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Atmo Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes structures its activity around 5 fundamental missions:

• Observe via a monitoring system responsible for producing, storing and disseminating reference data on air quality.
• Support decision-makers in drawing up and monitoring medium- and long-term action plans on air and related issues (energy, climate, urban pollution), as well as in emergency situations (pollution episodes, industrial incidents or accidents).
• Communicate with citizens and encourage them to take action to improve air quality.
• Anticipate emerging air pollution issues and new technologies by setting up partnerships for experimentation, innovation and European programs.
• Manage associative strategy and regional coordination, organize pooling of resources while ensuring consistency with the national level.

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes air quality observatory offers a wide range of professions around its main activities: air quality measurement, studies and modeling of atmospheric phenomena, data analysis, mapping, support for decision-makers in drawing up and monitoring action plans, and public information.
