Atmo Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (also abbreviated "Atmo BFC") is a non-profit organization dedicated to monitoring air quality and informing the public in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Its remit covers the atmospheric environment in the broadest sense, with recognized expertise in the fields of climate, air and energy.
What we do:
In conjunction with local partners and in compliance with reciprocal commitments, Atmo BFC :
Informs the population about air pollutant concentration levels, energy consumption, their origins and associated risks.
Draw up and regularly update territorial Air-Climate-Energy inventories at the finest possible scale and according to the various sectors of activity, using appropriate tools, including in the field of mobility.
Participate in the development of regional schemes and plans to combat air pollution, climate change and energy efficiency, by providing data tools and expertise for diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of these policies.
Defines the impact of atmospheric fallout from economic and polluting activities.
Leads and mobilizes a network of partners and citizens around these themes.
Locations and areas of operation:
The operating area covers the whole of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.
Employees are spread over 3 sites: Besançon (head office), Dijon and Bart.
