BioMonitor
BioMonitor is an environmental engineering, assessment and control company that has been in business for over 25 years. It assists, advises and supports companies, public authorities and local authorities in measuring pollution and risks at the environment-health interface.
Our skills mainly, but not exclusively, concern the environmental impact of works, structures or industrial facilities. BioMonitor's expertise is put to good use in the elaboration of various studies such as :
- studies to interpret the state of the environment (IEM);
- health risk assessment (HRA) studies;
- Pollution dispersion studies and modelling results;
- descriptions of uses and conceptual diagrams.
Whatever the environment concerned (air, water, soil or food), BioMonitor has the know-how to measure pollutants and their transfer in the various environmental compartments. Our in-house database (over 160,000 values from 200 national points) enables us to interpret measurement results objectively, and to support our customers in their environmental and health issues.
Our head office is based in Pagny-sur-Moselle (54). We operate throughout France and in neighboring countries.
Historically based on biomonitoring (the use of biological tools to assess the impact of pollution and its evolution over time), BioMonitor is now recognized nationwide for the implementation of numerous measurement techniques:
Samples of water, soil, sediment, food matrices, bryophytes (standard NF EN 16414), grasses and lichens (standard NF X 43-904).
Installation of atmospheric fallout collection systems (OWEN gauges - NF X 43-014 standard), standardized grass crops (NF X 43-901 standard), cabbage (VDI 3957/3) and lettuce (NF X 43-908).
Installation and monitoring of ambient air sensors (connected NOx, PM sensors, etc.) or active or passive air sampling devices (filters, Radiello tubes).
Development and implementation of impact or environmental monitoring plans (including health aspects) in line with INERIS recommendations.
Interpretation of results according to existing regulatory and bibliographic values and/or according to our grid of benchmark and threshold values based on standard XP X43-910.
