Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR)
For almost 100 years, ENSCR has been training generalist chemical engineers for all companies, for all professions in production, services, engineering and management, for French, European and global industry.
Recognized and sought-after on the job market, chemical engineers graduating from ENSCR master the concepts and tools of their trade. They are able to work independently on national and international projects.
ENSCR's chemical engineering degree is recognized by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur and by the French State. This accreditation has been renewed from the start of the 2021 academic year to the end of the 2025-2026 academic year.
Two majors enable future graduates to specialize in Environment, Processes and Analysis or Chemistry and Technology for Living Systems.
Since July 2015, ENSCR has been ISO 9001 certified. Through this approach, the school has made the choice to question its practices, analyze its results and make improvements to further satisfy not only its students, but also its staff and our partners. Committing to a certification process thus implies constant monitoring and renewal of procedures. This means never taking anything for granted.
The school is home to professors and researchers from the Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes (UMR CNRS 6226 ISCR). Some of them are part of the Chemistry and Process Engineering team, which studies and designs sustainable processes for pollution treatment and production in the key fields of environment (water and air), agri-food and chemistry.
The team also develops analytical methodologies for assessing trace pollutants and characterizing interfaces to determine the performance of these processes.
