Who we are:

Hawa Mayotte has been the approved air quality monitoring association in Mayotte since December 15, 2014 and is a member of the Atmo France network. It is made up of four member colleges:

  • The State, represented by the DEAL of Mayotte
  • Local authorities, represented by Mr Abdou RACHADI
  • Representatives of activities contributing to the emission of monitored substances, represented by Électricité De Mayotte (EDM)
  • Environmental and consumer protection associations, represented by Naturalistes de Mayotte
What we do:

Hawa Mayotte has several objectives:

  • Monitoring compliance with European, national and regional regulations.
  • Information and awareness-raising on air quality for the public and decision-makers.
  • Acquisition of data useful for implementing prevention policies.
  • Increase knowledge of air pollution and its effects.
