Research at the Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM) focuses on a number of areas, including the development of advanced materials for energy, the environment, sustainable development and health. More specifically, the aim is to reinforce the themes of excellence in the environmental field through clean chemistry, control, depollution and sustainable development.
What we do:
Air research projects: Development of adsorbent materials for the capture of volatile organic compounds for the purification and control of indoor air quality, combining experimental and computational approaches.
As part of its air-related activities, the laboratory is equipped to study the adsorption of vapors (Volatile Organic Compounds) by gravimetry, and has test benches for characterizing the performance of indoor air contaminant sensors.
At the same time, the laboratory is an expert in the development of computational approaches to predict the capture properties of porous materials with respect to indoor air contaminants.
