IEM is a member of the Carnot Institute 3BCAR.
The IEM's research objectives revolve around a multi-disciplinary, multi-scale approach to :
Air-related research projects :
Key words: Emissions, VOCs, SVOCs, Analytical engineering, Analytical chemistry, Odour, Sensory analysis, Sampling, Sniffing/Olfactometry
Locally, the IEM is part of the Pôle Chimie Balard, along with ICGM (UMR 5253), IBMM (UMR 5247) and ICSM (UMR 5754). A center of excellence supported by the Occitanie Region and the French government, its aim is to bring together research, teaching and technology transfer. These 4 institutes are also part of the Chimie Balard Research Federation (CNRS FR3105).
The IEM has gas separation test platforms open to collaboration, enabling us to test different types of filter materials under a wide range of experimental conditions.
