The Laboratoire de Génie Chimique (LGC) is a Research Unit associated with INP Toulouse, Université Toulouse III and CNRS. At the crossroads of Science and Technology, its research disseminates the latest scientific advances at the heart of material and energy transformation processes.
The LGC employs over 300 people in 6 research departments covering a broad spectrum of issues (understanding physico-chemical or biological phenomena, hydrodynamics and matter transfer, modeling, design, dimensioning) aimed at meeting societal challenges: water and effluents, energy, bio-refining, materials elaboration processes and health engineering...
The work of the "air treatment" team focuses on the treatment of gaseous effluents for the elimination of VOCs and odors using techniques based on oxidation by ozonation on adsorbent materials, and on the development of processes combining adsorption and advanced oxidation.
Every year, the LGC's work leads to the filing of several patents, the defense of around 30 doctoral theses and the publication of over 100 international scientific articles.
