On June 16, 2026, at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) in Paris, the CNRS ExCHANGES laboratory is organizing an interdisciplinary study day entitled “Living in a polluted world”. The event will provide an open forum for discussion and cross-fertilization between researchers, healthcare professionals, associations, citizens and workers, on the links between pollution and issues of habitability.
Conceived as a multidisciplinary agora, it brings together speakers from the fields of sociology, medicine, social psychology, environmental law and life sciences.
Round-table discussions address the mechanisms of exposure to pollutants, their effects on health, pollution reduction policies, and collective mobilization in the face of contemporary environmental challenges.
