The Alliance des collectivités françaises pour la qualité de l'air (Alliance of French local authorities for air quality) brings together local authorities at different levels who are committed to improving air quality in their areas and working to make it a major public health issue.
The Alliance is a network of elected representatives launched in March 2017 and incorporated as an association in September 2018. Born of the desire of local authorities committed to becoming "respirable cities and agglomerations in 5 years", the association is open to any local authority wishing to get involved in the fight against air pollution. It testifies to a shared desire to strengthen local policies and make air quality for all residents a priority issue.
The Alliance's aim is to give a voice to local authorities, exchange practical experience, share best practices and discuss difficulties.
